Wick River Campsite was taken over by the Wick Development Trust. The campsite was regenerated over several phases. One phase was to build a new low energy toilet and shower facilities. The hot water and heating are produced by two Ochsner Air Falcon air source heat pumps. The energy for the heat pumps is offset by a 20kW Viridian in roof Solar PV system with three Sonnen Hybrid 9.53 battery storage systems.

The next phase was the construction of a new reception and shop. This too is designed to be low energy with an Ochsner Air Falcon providing heating and hot water with a 6kW Viridian Solar PV system with a Fronius battery storage system.
