This 425m² property overlooks the Royal Dornoch Golf Course. Originally specified for a pellet boiler system, we suggested that a high efficiency OCHSNER GMLW air source heat pump system would suit the clients requirements better.

The OCHSNER GMLW is a split system with a unique horizontal evaporator. This extracts energy from the air and supplies it to the internal unit. The evaporator is very quiet in operation. Due to the size of the property, a single heat pump could not provide the energy required to heat the building. As such, a GMLW 9 and a GMLW 14 were installed in a cascade.

The system also incorporated a 500l buffer tank and a 800l Unifresh tank for domestic hot water. The unifresh tank incorporates a stainless steel coil which is used to heat the domestic hot water directly from the cold mains, thus the water is safer as it has never been stored.
